Sofie Boiten studied theatre studies at the University of Amsterdam and dramaturgy at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig. As a freelance dramaturg she works together with multiple directors in both Germany and the Netherlands.
She collaborates particularly close with the director Lorenz Nolting. As an , they write and develop numerous projects, that were, among others, shown at the Theater Osnabrück, the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Volksbühne-am-Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin. Their production Kohlhaas (Glück der Erde, Rücken der Pferde) was invited to the festival Radikal Jung 2025.
